UTSTARCOM TO PARTICIPATE AT CONVERGENCE INDIA 2009

UTStarcom, Inc. (Nasdaq: UTSI) today announced its participation in South Asia’s largest ICT event, the 17th Convergence India 2009, international exhibition and conference that begins on March 18 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The event is supported by the Ministry of Communications & IT, Govt. of India and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India, and certified by the US Commercial Service.

Mr. Vijay Yadav, UTStarcom’s Managing Director for South Asia operations, is part of the panel discussion in the inaugural conference session of the event, on the theme, “Digital Convergence…Empowering a Billion Lives”.

On the concluding day of the conference, Mr. Yadav is also a panelist for the session, “Transition to a new television experience: Indian perspective on the myths and reality of offering IPTV”
