New Services Help Businesses Maximize Telecom Investment

Integra Telecom Inc., a facilities-based, integrated communications provider for business, has added two new products to its portfolio of service offerings. Integra’s VPN Solutions is an Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP-VPN) offering, providing a secure, multi-site, private network telecommunications service. Integra’s Network Solutions provides a secure private network transport service. Both new offerings are delivered using Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology which allows business customers to combine voice, data and Internet traffic onto a single cost-effective and easy-to-manage IP-based network that scales as their business grows.

When combined with MPLS technology, Integra’s state-of-the-art, world class fiber network provides customers the security and reliability of private line with the simplicity, speed and scalability of packet-based networks. Integra Telecom’s MPLS-enabled offerings are now available in its Arizona, California, Idaho, Minnesota, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, Utah and Washington markets.

“Integra’s MPLS technology gives businesses a competitive edge,” said Trent Anderson, vice president of product marketing for Integra Telecom. “These new services allow our customers to maximize their telecom investment by eliminating the excess costs associated with supporting several networks.”

Integra customers served with MPLS technology maintain the option to control their network or have Integra configure and maintain equipment and routing instructions to best use the network to support, voice, data, video, and other mission-critical applications. The technology is customizable for business networks of all sizes, and locations can be easily added or removed.

“As the economy continues to struggle, businesses are evaluating ways to be leaner and more efficient,” said Anderson. “The timing couldn’t be better for the release of Integra’s MPLS technology. These new services are designed to best meet the needs of our customers.”

Benefits of Integra Telecom’s MPLS Technology:
Connect and mesh multiple locations with an array of access types, upgrade bandwidth and change network configuration with minimal effort and cost
Converge multiple applications and traffic types onto a single network
Quality of Service (QoS) tagging or Class of Service (CoS) priority, allow network managers to give voice and other key applications to get the priority they need

These new products are currently available in select Integra Telecom service areas. Please visit www.integratelecom.com for availability.
