Colgate declares Second Interim Dividend of Rs 6/- per share for 2008-09

Bangalore, March 30, 2009: At the meeting held today, Colgate’s Board announced a second interim dividend declaration for the Financial Year 2008-09 of Rs 6/- per share of Re 1 each (face value). The dividend payout to the shareholders will be Rs. 81.6 Crores (Rs. 95.5 Crores inclusive of the dividend distribution tax) and will be paid on or about April 23, 2009 to those shareholders whose names are on the Register of Members of the Company as on April 9, 2009.

This dividend is in addition to the first interim dividend declared by the Company in December 2008 of
Rs 9/- per share.

For the financial year ended March 31, 2008, the Company had declared an interim dividend of Rs 6/- per share and a final dividend of Rs 7/- per share.
