“Challenges of Security Implementations in a Multi-Core Processing Environment”

What:
The Linley Tech Seminar, Embedded Network Security Design, provides an open forum for discussion of the latest trends in this dynamic market. This one-day event is focused on engineers and engineering managers who are responsible for designing network-security equipment or designing security into switch/routers or other equipment. Presentations and discussions will include a broad range of security-design topics including VPN/firewall integration, high-speed encryption and content inspection.

“Network-equipment designers are facing the challenge of scaling performance to 10Gbps and beyond while also integrating multiple security functions such as firewall, VPN, IPS, and web security,” said Bob Wheeler, senior analyst, The Linley Group. “This year’s seminar will take a close look at the technologies available to accelerate security functions, and where and how they are being deployed. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear leading security experts discuss hardware and software issues–such as encryption, content inspection, flow processing, and trusted platforms–that will impact next-generation network-equipment designs.”

When:
Wednesday, April 8, 2009

Seminar: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Reception: 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Where: DoubleTree Hotel, San Jose, California
