Customers can now Integrate Existing and Low-Cost Bulk Storage into one High-Performance FileStorm Clustered Solution with Infinite Scaling and Lower Operating Costs

IceWEB’s (OTCBB: IWEB) INLINE subsidiary (www.inlinecorp.com) announced today it has incorporated InfiniBand technology into all of its FileStorm Storage Network Attached Storage products. By incorporating this technology into its storage products, IceWEB believes it will expand the marketability of its storage technology and attract new customers seeking cost-effective storage solutions.

The new FileStorm storage solutions are designed for organizations utilizing InfiniBand-based server clusters for high-bandwidth and complex program execution. FileStorm with InfiniBand host connections allows these users to expand their high-performance computing environments with new low-cost storage and high-performance connectivity to their large-capacity SAS or SATA based disk drives.

“With this new capability, organizations with Infiniband clustered computing environments now become a target market for IceWEB Storage Products,” said John R. Signorello, IceWEB CEO. “These customers can now scale their storage without any major capital investments. Add to that these customers’ needs for higher bandwidth, lower latency and simplified storage management and you can see why we’re excited about this major enhancement to our InLINE FileStorm.”

What is Infiniband?

InfiniBand is an architecture and specification for data flow between processors and I/O devices that promises greater bandwidth and almost unlimited expandability in tomorrow’s computer systems. In the next few years, InfiniBand is expected to gradually replace the existing peripheral component interconnect (PCI) shared-bus approach used in most of today’s personal computers and servers. It offers throughput of up to 2.5 Gbps and support for up to 64,000 addressable devices.

Now for the first time, utilizing this switched process I/O technology, customers can leverage previous server and storage investments by directly connecting their existing InfiniBand-based cluster to INLINE’s FileStorm storage though FileStorm’s new native InfiniBand interface. With Infiniband, large databases such can be queried at up to 10x the speed. INLINE FileStorm, with InfiniBand is available now and provides speeds 10.
