Expert Discusses Secure Platform Structures That Build Trust in Infrastructures

SafeNet, Inc., a global leader in information security, today announced that Steve Singer, worldwide systems engineering manager, SafeNet’s Embedded Security Solutions, will present “Building Trust in Your Infrastructure Using Secure Platform Structures” at the Linley Tech Seminar: Embedded Network Security Design in San Jose, CA, on April 8, 2009.

The presentation will discuss how networking device and semiconductor vendors can address both communications and device protection while maintaining the highest levels of performance using secure platform solutions.

“Increased threats to networking devices and equipment have created a significant demand for platform security to prevent hacking, cloning, modification, and illegal distribution of both devices and device software,” stated Mr. Singer. “SafeNet’s ongoing customer commitment is to develop and maintain a complete portfolio of embedded security solutions for addressing the industry’s evolving security challenges. These secure platform solutions provide the most advanced security on the market for addressing device and communications integrity, confidentiality, and authentication.”

In order to address both communications and device protection while maintaining the highest levels of performance, networking device, equipment, and semiconductor vendors are utilizing secure platform solutions. SafeNet’s robust Platform Security Solution features a hardware root of trust and hardware-based mechanisms to securely use keys, identities and other sensitive data to protect against any improper use.

“This year’s seminar will take a close look at the technologies available to accelerate security functions, and where and how they are being deployed,” said Bob Wheeler, senior analyst, The Linley Group. “Attendees will have the opportunity to hear leading security experts discuss hardware and software issues–such as encryption, content inspection, flow processing, and trusted platforms–that will impact next-generation network-equipment designs.”
