Microsoft BI Team Will Be at PASS Summit 2009 “in Full Force” to Share Best Practices, Latest Solutions

Microsoft is making its Business Intelligence (BI) Conference a biennial event and is recommending that BI architects, developers, and administrators attend the Professional Association for SQL Server’s PASS Summit Unite 2009 this fall.

“The Microsoft BI team will be at PASS Summit Unite 2009 in full force, sharing best practices and the latest information about our technologies,” says Kristina Kerr, Group Product Manager, Microsoft Business Intelligence. “We’re looking forward to the face-to-face interaction we get with our customers at PASS Summit, hearing how they’re using BI and helping them work smarter or get started with our solutions. If you’re responsible for building BI solutions, PASS Summit Unite 2009 will provide invaluable direct access to the Microsoft BI engineers, developers, and product team members who can answer your questions and help ensure your success.”

The next BI Conference is now scheduled for 2010 in Seattle and will be held every second year after that.

PASS Summit — the single largest gathering of Microsoft SQL Server professionals in the world — is slated for Nov. 2-5 at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle. The 10th anniversary event will provide a record 168 technical sessions and 14 full-day pre- and post-conference seminars across five technical content tracks, including two comprehensive BI tracks:
BI Architecture, Development, and Administration
BI Client Reporting and Delivery

PASS Summit Unite 2009 will showcase the upcoming BI-focused release of SQL Server, code-named Kilimanjaro, including the new Gemini tools for managed self-service BI. The conference will also cover the Madison project, designed to deliver massive scalability for very large data warehousing deployments.
