TranZfinity Selects Mobile Distillery as a Partner to Build a Best-of-Breed, Full Production Pipeline for NFC Applications across the Widest Range of Phones Using TranZfinity’s NFC via Bluetooth Sticker
TranZfinity announced at WIMA 2009 that they have chosen Mobile Distillery to allow them to increase significantly the range of NFC enabled phones and provide full portability of TranZfinity’s production pipeline. Mobile Distillery is the leading specialist in software solutions for mobile application development, including NFC technology (both NFC embedded and NFC enabled phones).
For 4 years, Mobile Distillery has been developing an NFC agnostic application framework (Celsius) for massive NFC deployment. Its powerful Parametric Development® technology allows a single source code to produce the best application for each phone, on a wide range of NFC supported devices (currently 150+ phones), including native NFC phones and NFC enabled phones (via Bluetooth peripheral or others). The NFC applications that are created also take advantage of the full Celsius portability framework, from screen or memory management, to keyboard mapping/touchscreen or any APIs, including the portability of best of breed third party solutions: LBS, payment, security etc.
The partnership objective is to empower the TranZfinity application framework to a new dimension by increasing NFC portability and features across all devices using Celsius.
The benefits for developers are significantly reduced development times for NFC applications (from screen design to back-end servers) and deployment to the widest range of mobile phones in a few clicks.
“We are very pleased to work with a leading global NFC solution provider like TranZfinity. It proves Mobile Distillery is at the forefront of NFC Mobile application framework. The affiliation will provide breakthrough opportunities for developers who want to target the widest range of phones possible with added NFC capability”, commented Vincent Berge, CEO of Mobile Distillery.
“TranZfinity’s focus is squarely on accelerating the adoption of mobile Contactless and NFC technologies. We believe that Mobile Distillery can provide us a way to quickly reach multiple verticals using a very broad range of handsets making the transition to NFC as seamless as possible for the consumer,” said Rob Canterbury, CMO of TranZfinity.
