Greenfield / Ciao Establishes New Market Research Panel in India

Global Expansion into Asia Pacific Continues

WILTON, Conn. and MUNICH, Germany, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Greenfield Online Inc (Nasdaq: SRVY – News), a leading provider of Internet survey solutions to marketing research and consulting companies, and its European subsidiary, Ciao, today announced the establishment of a new market research panel in India allowing clients worldwide access to respondents for market research purposes.

“The launch of this new panel is yet another step along our strategic path of expansion into the Asia Pacific region for Greenfield / Ciao,” said Albert Angrisani, President and Chief Executive Officer of Greenfield / Ciao. “I am pleased to note that demand for sample from this region comes from a broad spectrum of our existing client base worldwide. In addition, this new panel piggybacks on the July opening of our office in Australia in furthering our presence in the emerging and important Asia-Pacific market for online data collection.”

“The India panelist recruitment site was developed in cooperation with our local Greenfield team in Gurgaon to be highly localized,” said Nicolas Metzke, Managing Director at Greenfield / Ciao. “This local knowledge is extremely valuable in such a huge and diverse country like India and we believe it will help us deliver value added benefits to our clients for projects which include this region. Our specific profile adaptation for India will enable us to deliver representative samples and target special audience groups beyond consumers, such as B2B or IT Decision makers.”

“Today we have already recruited 24,000 Indian panelists who have participated in surveys in the past several months,” commented Vihan Sharma, Global Panel Development Manager at Greenfield / Ciao. “I am confident that we will reach our recruitment target of 75,000 respondents by the end of this year.”

India-based clients are managed out of Greenfield / Ciao’s sales office in the United Kingdom. In addition, the company maintains a large programming and data processing center in Gurgaon, India, which was opened in 2003 and has grown to now employ approximately 200 people.
