Yorba Linda Community Offers a Unique Home-Buying Incentive
With one swing of a golf club, qualified homebuyers can get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win $500,000 toward a new home at Vista Del Verde in Yorba Linda. On May 3rd, from 3-5pm, the Home in One Event at Vista Del Verde will offer participants a chance to win half a million dollars off a new home at the 843-acre golf community in the northwestern hills of Orange County.
“This is a rare opportunity for prospective homebuyers to move in to Vista Del Verde at a deeply discounted price,” says Jim Boyd, regional president for Toll Brothers, which has developed the master planned community in partnership with Aera Energy. “This contest combines our golf community’s love of the game with a unique incentive that goes well beyond what other developers are offering today. Vista Del Verde has been a very successful development, with hundreds of families already calling it home and taking advantage of the great golf and recreational lifestyle the community affords. This contest is a fitting way to offer one lucky homebuyer the chance to enjoy that lifestyle for half a million dollars less.”
With homes at Vista Del Verde ranging from the $700,000s to over $1,000,000, hitting a hole-in-one on May 3rd could actually mean getting a new home for well better than half price. The winning participant will be able to select from home types including spacious townhomes from Toll Brothers as large as 3,454 square feet and single-family homes from MBK Homes and Toll Brothers ranging from 2,684 square feet to 5,200 square feet. The hole-in-one contest will be held on a 165-yard hole for men and 150-yard hole for women, each fully sanctioned and monitored by an official from the Professional Golfers Association of America. The contest is open to the first 100 participants who qualify to purchase at Vista Del Verde by April 26th.
“We think the chances are great that somebody will knock it in,” says Boyd. “Whether through luck or skill or a little bit of both, we’d enjoy nothing more than to see somebody make the hole-in-one and move in to a Vista Del Verde home where they can enjoy the game they love as a regular part of their lifestyle. And with a half a million dollars on the line, the contest is sure to include as much pressure as excitement.”
Set on 843 rolling hillside acres, Vista Del Verde features upscale homes, many with fairway views. The community includes two neighborhood parks, miles of walking and equestrian trails, and ample open space. The centerpiece of Vista Del Verde is the Black Gold Golf Club, the multi-million-dollar 18-hole championship public golf course. Black Gold will play host to the May 3rd Home in One Event.
