CCSI CompuCom Ranked by Computer Dealer News and Recognized for Increased Scale in Canada

CompuCom Systems, Inc., a leading IT outsourcing company, together with its Canadian subsidiary, CCSI CompuCom, today announced that it has been ranked by Computer Dealer News (CDN) as one of 2008’s top five largest solution providers in Canada. CDN, Canada’s leading IT channel publication, each year ranks major Canadian IT solution providers according to annual revenue. The achievements were celebrated recently at a ceremony in Toronto where the awards were distributed to top recipients.

With nearly a dozen office locations across Canada, CCSI was recognized for its expanded capabilities as a result of two significant acquisitions in 2008. In August 2008, CompuCom acquired the North American operations of Getronics which provided increased scope and scale with additional service delivery centers in the U.S., Canada and in Mexico. Additionally, CCSI acquired SaltSpring Software Inc., a dedicated hardware and software reseller with Microsoft Large Account Reseller (LAR) status, in March 2008.

“We are pleased that CCSI CompuCom has been recognized by CDN as one of Canada’s top IT solution providers for 2008,” said Phil Soper, General Manager of CCSI CompuCom. “This acceptance validates our extended leadership in providing seamless, integrated services and solutions across Canada.”

“CCSI CompuCom is a newcomer to the Top 5, but they have always been a mainstay of the CDN Top 100 Solution Providers rankings,” said Paolo Del Nibletto, editor of CDN – Computer Dealer News, Canada’s No. 1 IT channel publication. “I’m not surprised that they cracked the Top 5 this year. This company offers extensive technology and industry-specific expertise and is a leading managed services provider,” added Nibletto.

Each year, CDN ranks the highest revenue generating solution providers based in Canada, listing each company in order of its total revenue for that year. A profile of the 2008 winners and the complete rankings appears in a special report in the May 22 issue of CDN. CDN defines an information technology solution provider as an organization that resells computer hardware, software or peripheral products.

CDN has been the leading information source for Canadian IT solution providers since 1985. CDN is Canada’s national newsmagazine designed to provide VARs, system integrators, system builders, ISVs and retailers with the most comprehensive coverage of news, events and issues in the IT channel.
