Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) appoints Arun Aggarwal as Head of Consulting Practice EMEA

- Demonstrates TCS’ commitment to developing consulting practice -

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the extension of Arun Aggarwal’s role as head of its business and IT consulting practice in the UK to include an EMEA-wide remit. This move signals TCS’ continuing strategy to grow its capabilities and revenues in this area.

The extension of Aggarwal’s role comes a year after his initial appointment as Head of Consulting Practice for the UK and Ireland, which has resulted in a rapid expansion of TCS’ services in this area. It is also an integral part of the company’s strategy to make TCS a top 10 IT services and consultancy organisation by 2010.

Aggarwal, an ex-PriceWaterhouseCoopers senior partner and LCH.Clearnet managing director, will have immediate responsibility for growing TCS’ consulting practice across the EMEA region. This is part of the company’s strategic goal of building upon its IT heritage to provide complete end to end solutions to its clients such as ABN Amro. (See www.tcs.com/europe)
