9 STORY ENTERTAINMENT NAMES LILIANA VOGT VICE PRESIDENT, DEVELOPMENT

TORONTO, CANADA, April 27, 2009 – Toronto-based production studio 9 Story Entertainment today announced that children’s programming producer Liliana Vogt has been named Vice President, Development for the award-winning animation, production and distribution company.
Reporting to Vince Commisso, CEO of 9 Story Entertainment, Liliana will be responsible for all facets of content development for the company. “Liliana is a unique talent with an impressive track record of recognizing and developing truly interesting and engaging properties,” explains Vince Commisso, CEO of 9 Story Entertainment. “We have a robust development slate, with partnerships all over the world. With Liliana as the driving creative force behind them, we’ll deliver entertainment content that is second to none”.
A long-time producer and development executive, Vogt has an extensive background in television distribution, acquisitions, and creative development. She most recently served as co-Executive Producer of “Chilly Beach,” the animated youth comedy series which ran for three seasons on the CBC. Vogt also served as Supervising Executive of the animated shorts series ”Maple Shorts” for CBC, and Creative Executive of “The Very Good Adventures of Yam Roll In Happy Kingdom,” for the CBC and the Cartoon Network.
Previously Vogt was Vice President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions at Salter Street Films (“Bowling For Columbine,” “This Hour Has 22 Minutes”), Vice President of Sales and Co-Productions at Sullivan Entertainment (“Anne Of Green Gables,” “Road To Avonlea”) and Director of International Sales at Norstar Entertainment. Vogt began her career in broadcast television where she held various positions in programming and international distribution at CFMT-TV and at Citytv, where she remained for 11 years and played an integral role in the set-up and launch of ChumCity International, the former development and distribution arm of CHUM Television (now CTV Limited).
