Symantec Appoints Timothy Ding Managing Director for Taiwan

Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced the appointment of Timothy Ding as managing director of Symantec Taiwan. In his new role, Ding will be responsible for Symantec’s operations in Taiwan, reporting to Bernard Kwok, vice president, Symantec Corporation & president, Symantec Greater China Region.

Ding joins Symantec from IBM where most recently he was Executive of Retail Industry Solution, IBM Greater China Group. Ding started his career with IBM in 1985 and during his tenure held a number of different roles in Sales, Channel and Marketing. From 2002 – 2004, Ding led the Software Group for IBM Taiwan managing an organization of over 100 employees. Additionally, he led the rapid development of IBM’s Global Business Partner in Taiwan achieving double-digit growth in revenue for all quarters during his tenure.
