Women’s Media Inc., the online guide for working women, announced the launch of its revamped website at www.womensmedia.com and all new classes, coaching and teleconferencing from authors, career experts and successful entrepreneurs. The new site provides content for working women of all ages, blogs, podcasts, listing of women’s organizations, calendar of events, and an exciting, fresh new look to better educate, elevate and inspire.
Women’s Media says it chose the last week in April to launch the site and its new logo to coincide with Gender Pay Day, created by the National Committee on Pay Equity (NCPE) in 1996 to raise public awareness about the gender wage gap in the U.S. According to NCPE, April 28 symbolizes how far into the year a woman must work, on average, to earn as much as a man earned the previous year.
“The gender gap in wages is just one of many important issues for working women today. Women’s Media covers career advancement, work/life balance, marketing, financial planning, growing a business, and more in an effort to educate and inform women around the globe,” said Nancy Clark, CEO for Women’s Media. “We are committed to featuring expert advice, educational content, and information useful to successful women.”
Since 2002, Women’s Media has developed online content and articles for working women, entrepreneurs, educators and businesses. Now Women’s Media also offers classes, free coaching, teleconferencing and a popular monthly newsletter to help women utilize their skills and talents effectively. Authors, experts, and guest columnists will be featured on the new site, which will also include a book store, listings of women’s organizations and events calendar.
