Zurich has already helped more than 500 customers and brokers prepare for a pandemic

Zurich, a leading property and casualty insurance provider in North America and globally, announced today it will offer additional webinars this week to meet the increasing demand from its customers and brokers wanting information about how to prepare their enterprise from the potential impacts associated with a pandemic outbreak or other cascading business disruptions.

Reflecting Zurich’s brand promise to help its customers when it matters most, Zurich has already provided more than 500 of its customers and brokers information about the specific steps they can take to prepare for a pandemic. Zurich’s customers and webinar attendees range from risk managers for hospitals, hotels and learning institutions, to businesses with mid-sized to large, global operations.

“With the H1N1 influenza outbreak, cases turning up around the world, and the World Health Organization declaring a pandemic Phase 5, Zurich is helping businesses prepare for these types of events,” said Armand Fernandez, Chief Risk Engineering Officer in North America for Zurich Services Corporation. “We are helping our customers consider a variety of situations, such as what would happen if their work force doesn’t show up tomorrow, if their suppliers go off line, or if their current business continuity plan includes preparation for a pandemic.”
