New Delhi, India, May 19, 2009 – LSI Corporation (NYSE: LSI) today announced that its StarPro® SP2600 Media Processor family has been selected as the 2009 winner of the Network Products Guide Award in the Best Integrated Circuits category. LSI was the only silicon supplier recognized. This annual award honors products and services that represent the rapidly changing needs and interests of the end users of technology worldwide. A leading global awards program, the Best Products and Services for 2009 were nominated from all over the world.
LSI™ multicore media processor solutions are designed to meet the increasingly stringent demands of high-density voice and video applications. The SP2600 is scalable up to 12 DSP cores per chip and provides a single platform for a wide range of telecommunications applications from entry-level multi-service business gateways through wireless carrier-class media gateways. All LSI media processor solutions are based on a scalable multi-processor architecture that supports multiple DSP cores, embedded CPUs and co-processing engines.
