Kodak Reports Orders for Company’s Newest Digital Radiography System
Eastman Kodak Company’s Health Group today announced it has signed three contracts for its new KODAK DIRECTVIEW DR 3000 System, announced in June. The first facilities to purchase the new DR 3000 system are: Florida Medical Center, Zephyrhills, FL.; Saint Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, MO.; and DOSHI Diagnostic Imaging Services, Hicksville, NY.
Terms of the agreements were not disclosed. The DR 3000 system is designed to meet the needs and budget of a broad range of healthcare facilities including mid-size hospitals, outpatient imaging centers and orthopaedic clinics. The compact DR 3000 system features an optional moveable table and a floor-mounted stand that does not require wall mounts or ceiling suspension provisions. This improves placement flexibility and reduces the cost of installation.
This multi-purpose system is capable of capturing a wide range of exams including, upright, supine and angled projections. Automatic positioning and the constant alignment of the x-ray tube and detector can save time for radiographic technologists and patients.
Preview images are available in less than eight seconds. The detector also features a large 17-x 17-inch image area (43 x 43 cm) that eliminates the need for rotation. The system’s cesium iodide detector matrix (3121 x 3121) with 143-micron pixels, combined with Kodak’s advanced image processing software, produces sharp, detailed images.
