Sportgenic, a media and technology company dedicated to connecting marketers with sport enthusiasts, today announced an innovative relationship with comScore Inc. (NASDAQ:SCOR) that will give marketers and media partners direct access to comScore site-level audience data for the Sportgenic network through the recently launched, patent pending Torque platform. Additionally, Sportgenic will implement comScore beacon technology, increasing the coverage of Sportgenic’s partners tracked by comScore, as well as identifying campaigns for Post Buy and Ad Effectiveness reporting.
Torque, a media buying and selling platform for all sports media, was developed to better provide a streamlined media planning and buying process. Through data obtained from comScore, Sportgenic can now offer third party validation of its digital partners’ audiences, both before and after the media buy. Sportgenic has dynamically integrated comScore’s Media Metrix site traffic and demographic reporting, enabling media buyers to see the audience size, reach, and demographic composition of the site or package of sites they are considering and use Torque for media planning and buying. Additionally, users will be able to track and measure campaign effectiveness from Torque using comScore information.
“Third-party validation is vital to our agency and marketer clients,” said Robert Tas, President & CEO of Sportgenic. “The relationship with comScore provides our clients quick access to relevant research and program insights that have typically been difficult to obtain and integrate into sports media planning. We are delighted to add comScore insights to our simple, fully transparent Torque platform.”
comScore maintains a worldwide panel of over 2 million individuals who expressly consent to have their online activities monitored. Through patented technology, comScore is able to track the online activity of these consumers and associate that activity with demographics, visitation, search, and purchasing attributes. comScore can then project these data to the relevant Internet population and report cross-Internet behavioral metrics and demographics that account for total online activity across the U.S. and around the world.
“comScore is committed to working with industry leaders such as Sportgenic to help shape the new era of informed transactional planning and buying“, said Erin Hunter, comScore executive vice president. “The future of media planning and buying will require more direct links and integration across critical media planning touch points. The Sportgenic partnership and Torque’s open platform is an ideal extension of our commitment to offer streamlined data measurement as a means to better facilitate the media planning, buying and reporting process.”
Torque visitors can begin to utilize comScore data on the Torque platform immediately by accessing the Torque website at Torque.Sportgenic.com.
