The winners were announced during a ceremony on 19th May held at Interop, Las Vegas, where the panel of judges, made up of award-winning editors and analysts from InformationWeek, placed Expand’s Virtual Accelerator ahead of tough competition from Citrix Systems, Inc., and Spirent Communications to win the Performance Optimization category.

The judges selected the products they believe will have the greatest potential impact and advance business technology efficiencies. As a truly virtualized offering, the Virtual Accelerator is able to utilize the existing hardware, shared storage, management, back up policies and configuration tools, as well as ensuring existing Service Level Agreements and support services are maintained, thus simplifying datacenter management and reducing TCO.
