Global Biopower Company Names New Honorary Chairman for India

New Biopower provider Clenergen Corporation has turned to a trusted member of the Indian business community as it lays the foundations for a commercial platform in the country.

Dr. Arvind Pandalai, who was instrumental in developing the State Trading Corporation of India into a 25 billion dollar trading conglomerate, is to become Honorary Chairman of Clenergen India Private Limited with immediate effect.

His appointment anticipates the announcement of a significant power purchase agreement, in which the newly formed Clenergen Corporation is expected to begin construction of its first “Distributed Environmental Power System” in the Tamilnadu region, supplying uninterrupted electricity from sustainable sources for the next 15 years.

After a career spanning 32 years and several continents, Dr. Pandalai has worked on Government policy for India and has contributed to several publications including the “Globalisation of India’s Foreign Trade and Role of Counter Trade in that process,” and in 2004, he was the recipient of an IMM Award for Excellence for his contribution to national and international trade.

Commenting on his appointment, Dr. Pandalai said, “I am very pleased to join Clenergen at this crucial time in my country’s history. As we stand on the threshold of a new world for Indian consumers, the need for a cleaner, reliable source of energy has never been more compelling.”
