PureVideo Networks Appoints Carrie Kelly, Former VP of Search Marketing at IAC’s Ask.com, and Barbara Read, Former Advertising Director for Choice Media

Kelly to Serve as Vice President of Sales and Read, as Director of Sales, for PureVideo Networks’ Properties, StupidVideos.com and GrindTV.com

El Segundo, CA, August 16, 2006 –Owing to the Company’s growing user base and the resulting increase in advertising inventory, PureVideo Networks, publisher of popular viral video sites, StupidVideos.com and GrindTV.com, today announced the appointment of Carrie Kelly, previous Vice President of Search Marketing for Inter Active Corp’s Ask.com, and Barbara Read, former Advertising Director at Choice Media. Carrie Kelly will step into the role of Vice President of Sales for PureVideo Networks and Barbara Read, as Director of Sales.

According to Jupiter Research, by 2010, online advertising spending in the US is expected to grow to as much as $23.5 billion, more than double the current rate. Meanwhile, starting this year, marketing dollars spent on TV ads are expected to decline, as a growing number of brands follow their consumers online, according to Forrester Research.

Doug Ngo, PureVideo’s Director of Engineering, lead the development team that launched mega site, MySpace, and Vice President of Technology, Russ Smith, served in the same capacity at CitySearch and Business.com. Erik Hawkins, CEO of PureVideo, founded the Company after serving as a Senior Vice President of IAC’s Citysearch and as an executive at Yahoo! Music, where he met, Greg Morrow, PureVideo’s President and Co-Founder. Morrow served as General Manager of Yahoo!
