Dell Printers Help Quad/Graphics Put Best Image Forward
Quad/Graphics, the world’s largest privately-held printer of commercial products including magazines, catalogs and direct mail, has selected DellTM laser and multifunction printers to help improve internal operations and reduce costs.
The company chose Dell 5210n and 5310n workgroup laser, 5110n color laser and 1815dn multifunction printers to consolidate its desktop printing infrastructure to support administrative operations.
Quad/Graphics also purchased Dell PowerEdgeTM 2850 servers and standardized on OptiPlexTM GX620 desktops and Dell PrecisionTM 380 workstations in its Sussex, Wis., corporate headquarters, nine domestic plants and 14 sales offices.
In addition to top-notch hardware, Quad/Graphics relies on the Dell Toner Management System to help track internal printing volume. The system displays toner levels on the status window during every print job, simplifying the monitoring of resources and the purchase process. Managing the company’s printing assets helps the company track spending.
“As a provider of high-quality printed products, we realize that everything we produce – both internally and externally – is a reflection of our company,” said Steve Jaeger, vice president of information technology, Quad/Graphics. “We rely on Dell to provide us with a quality desktop-printer solution within our administrative areas at the most reasonable cost of ownership.”
