Munich, Germany – June 18, 2009 – At WDM 2009 in Nice, France, Nokia Siemens Networks and Juniper Networks will report on benefits of integrated IP over DWDM networks and will suggest a solution approach and an evolution path.

The rapid rise of traffic in core networks is doubling the required packet transport capacity about every two years. At the same time, the cost pressure on packet optical networks is growing as the increasing number of network elements and capacity requires more resilience.

One way forward is carrying the IP traffic directly over optical transport equipment. This joint presentation from Juniper and Nokia Siemens Networks addresses the topic from both the packet and transport equipment vendor point of view. In addition, the presentation will illustrate how interworking between packet and transport layers can simplify the network, lower overall cost and increase network resilience.

The presentation will be held on June 22 at 09.40 a.m.
