NIVIO APPOINTS MATTHEW COLEBOURNE AS GLOBAL CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Global operations to start in phases

New Delhi, Monday, 22nd June, 2009: Nivio, an online computing utility and the awardees for the World Economic Forum’ (WEF) technology pioneer award 2009, today announced the appointment of Mr. Matthew Colebourne as their Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his current global role, Matthew will be responsible for expanding the areas of operation for the company as part of its plans to launch Nivio services in countries including the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Belgium and parts of Latin America over the next year.

Matthew brings with him over 20 years of top-flight experience in sales, marketing and operational management. He previously ran all of DoubleClick’s non-US operations, was responsible for the turnaround and sale of Espotting to Findwhat (now MIVA) for $183million and has, more recently, consulted for several Web2.0, Internet and Telephony businesses including Lunarstorm, the largest Scandinavian Social Network Provider, and CoComment, a leading Comment Aggregation and Management Service. He has a strong track record of increasing sales and growth, reducing costs, terminating unprofitable deals, reducing OPEX, increasing efficiency and persuading multinational teams to work together effectively.

He pursued an Honours Degree in Computing Science from Imperial College, UK, which is also CEO Sachin Dev Duggal’s alma mater. A techno globe trotter, he also enjoys volleyball, motorcycle racing, skiing and selected reading in what little free time remains.
