The site started when founder Jason Jones’ son asked how he could get noticed by the 9th grade football coach. When Jason suggested building him a website that showed all his stats, interests, and abilities, his son asked, “Can’t we do that for everyone?”

“I realized that I couldn’t think of a really goal-oriented social media website; there are many out there that let people share and make friends, but not a lot for people who really want to advance and get noticed,” Jones said. “Today’s stars are multi-talented, so we’re not geared toward musicians, actors, comedians, models or athletes.” Jones continued, “We’re geared towards anyone who is ready to move forward.
