Dialogue Is Ready To Payforit
Dialogue Communications is launching its accredited Payforit solution for mobile payments on the Vodafone and Orange networks. Payforit is a payment framework agreed by the UK mobile operators and the company is planning to offer payment services with other operators shortly. The new mobile payment initiative is aimed at building trust between mobile users and content providers. Dialogue, one of the first to launch this solution, is already trialling it with a number of its off-portal content providers – prior to the launch in early September.
Paul Griffiths, managing director, hopes that this new Payforit solution will increase consumer confidence in off-portal purchase.
“It is important that our off-portal content retailers have started using the service already to gauge end users early experiences. Some of our customers have already expressed their disappointment that they are unable to sell premium game downloads which normally retail over £5 – the limit at which the Payforit standard is set. However, customers are pleased at the improved payouts offered by Vodafone, which is setting the pace in terms of encouraging content providers to adopt the new system.â€
The new billing system is a positive move towards the success of the mobile internet. The vision across the industry is that the user will see a standard mobile payment acceptance dialogue for any content they buy from their mobile, no matter who they are buying from. The aim is to give the user a clearer understanding of what and how they will be charged for mobile content, encouraging consumer confidence and repeat buying.
With offices in London and Sheffield, Dialogue Communications is one of the UK’s fastest growing mobile service providers for interactive mobile solutions and SMS aggregation. Dialogue has added the mobile payment service to its growing portfolio, and it is this solution which helps place Dialogue at the forefront of current mobile technological advances.
Ends.
