ZapMyTV Enters Into VOD and SVOD License Agreement with Paramount Digital Entertainment

ZapMyTV, a family-friendly web portal that broadcasts live cable programming via the Internet across multiple social networking platforms and offers theatrical motion picture content on a video-on-demand and subscription video-on-demand basis, today announced it has entered into a license agreement with Paramount Digital Entertainment, a division of Paramount Pictures Corporation, which is a subsidiary of Viacom (NYSE:VIA, VIA.B). This announcement is the first of several key strategic alliances with entertainment companies that ZapMyTV will announce in the near future.

Under the terms of the license agreement, ZapMyTV will have distribution rights to numerous theatrical motion pictures from Paramount. New releases and catalog titles, including THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, HOTEL FOR DOGS, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S and GHOST, will be available to customers for rental on a video-on-demand basis. In addition, certain Paramount movies will be available to subscribers on a subscription-video-on-demand basis.

In addition to offering customers access to theatrical motion picture content on a subscription and transactional video-on-demand basis, ZapMyTV offers its subscribers a lower cost, reliable alternative to cable television wrapped around social networking. It is the first web-based platform to offer live, fully licensed television over the internet offering picture-in-picture, recording capabilities and the ability to watch what you want, when you want it, wherever you are. Customers need only access one site to watch live television, view movies on-demand, search the internet, email, chat, video conference, blog and much more.

ZapMyTV is currently in an early beta test period. Consumers may sign up for the beta at www.zapmytv.com. The site is currently streaming live cable channels, and at the time of its official public launch plans to have 50-100 channels in addition to Paramount’s theatrical motion picture content.
