Seagate Launches Summer Promotion for HDD Resellers in Korea

In conjunction with the summer vacation season in Korea, Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX), the world’s number one hard drive maker, together with its manufacturing representative in Korea, Ocean Technology Co. Ltd., has launched a summer promotion for Korean HDD resellers to thank them for the consistent support they have given to Seagate and its products.

The Summer Promotion will reward eight Seagate resellers with 42-inch LG Time Machine LCD television sets for their exceptional performance in selling Seagate’s 3.5-inch Barracuda family and 2.5-inch Momentus family hard disc drives.

Seagate’s Barracuda family of disc drives are the world’s most popular desktop hard drives. The Barracuda 7200.10 disc drives, the latest version of the Barracuda family of disc drives, opens new levels of areal density and storage capacity leadership with its 750GB capacity mark. The Barracuda 7200.10 family of disc drives, which uses perpendicular recording technology, will meet the growing storage capacity, performance and reliability requirements of desktop computers and low-end servers.

Seagate’s Momentus family of disc drives continues to close the capacity and performance gap between desktop and notebook PC hard drives to help meet growing demand for fast, high-capacity notebook computers. The Momentus family of disc drives delivers up to 160GB of capacity, with the broadest line-up in the 2.5-inch disc drive category.
