Onstage Demo and Site Launch Today at 2:30pm PT at Fox Theatre in Redwood City to Unveil Fusion of Microblogging, Social CRM, and Team Collaboration in the Real-Time Stream
Bantam Live, an online workspace for business teams with microblogging and “social CRM” functionality to create and build business relationships across the web, officially launches today at the TechCrunch Real-Time Stream Crunchup conference held at the historic Fox Theatre in Redwood City, California. The public beta version of Bantam Live will be made available at www.BantamLive.com coincident with the 2:30pm PT onstage demo to the TechCrunch event attendees at the Fox Theatre.
In development since August of 2008, Bantam Live provides sales, biz-dev and marketing teams with a real-time dashboard stream of messaging and workflow activity along with native social CRM (customer relationship management) to engage people across the web for business purposes. Users, via the real-time activity stream, can share information, track activity, and manage contact and company relationships inside and outside the organization. Status updating, commenting, messaging, and interacting with social network contacts and content weave purposefully into business workflows such as contact management, social engagement, task management, calendaring, deal tracking, project management.
The initial social CRM features in the beta version of Bantam Live, for instance, allow a user from within Bantam to search Twitter by keywords, instantly capture relevant content and contact profiles, and initiate workflow assignments to engage and build a relationship with this new person or company, now accessible and maintained in Bantam. Such activity appears real-time in the dashboard stream of Bantam Live and in a contact page in Bantam, which merges team annotations with the contact’s live streams from social networks. In addition to Twitter, Bantam Live will also be connected to Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social networks soon.
The selection by TechCrunch of Bantam to appear onstage at the Real-Time Stream Crunchup event follows two months of award-winning achievements and recognition for Bantam Live, owned by Bantam Networks, a 6-person startup located in New York City. Among other recognitions, Bantam Live was recently announced a Winning Finalist at two premier industry events: the Enterprise 2.0 Conference held in Boston in June, and the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco held in April where the company launched its private-beta version of Bantam Live.
