Growing Demand for Seamless Email Migration That Removes Technology Barriers Between Disparate Email Systems
Worldwide Partner Conference 2009
Cemaphore Systems™, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and authorized reseller and advisor of Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite, announced it was participating in Worldwide Partner Conference 2009 put on by Microsoft Corp. in New Orleans from July 13-16 as a key demo partner in the Microsoft Partner Solution Showcase pavillion.
“We’re honored to be one of a select group of partners to participate in the Microsoft Partner Solution Showcase. Our innovative solutions empower customers with the flexibility to move their email data without worrying about migration downtime,” said Tyrone Pike, chief executive officer of Cemaphore Systems. “As a company, we’ve seen strong customer demand for non-disruptive email migration capabilities that remove technology barriers between disparate email systems to ensure a smooth transition.”
“Microsoft values its relationship with Cemaphore, and its continued dedication to deliver additional value to Exchange Online and SharePoint Online,” said Stephan Schirrecker, director, partner strategy at Microsoft Corp. “Cemaphore has developed the solutions and practices that help customers accelerate their adoption of Microsoft Online Services.”
Growing Customer Base
New customers are seeing significant benefits to this flexible, easy approach to email synchronization and migration. With Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Exchange Online, Cemaphore’s MailShadow solutions have gained traction in many key industries. For example:
As companies such as a global payment solutions firm go through mergers and acquisitions, they frequently need an easy way to consolidate Exchange mailboxes between the parent company and its newly acquired subsidiary. “Doing a cross-domain Exchange migration between different companies can be complex,” said John Liccione, CTO, Cemaphore Systems. “MailShadow’s powerful migration capabilities simplify this process and enable an organization to migrate hundreds of mailboxes without interrupting daily business operations or requiring extra off-hours or weekend IT effort.”
Companies may also need the freedom to switch email systems and hence require portability of email data. A university in Saudi Arabia had experimented with Google Apps but after careful evaluation decided that Exchange Server was its ideal solution for 600 users. Though the university wanted to switch to Exchange Server, the IT department had been concerned about how to move its Google data to its new email system until its trusted systems integrator, SADA Systems, recommended MailShadow. “MailShadow, with its bidirectional real-time sync, was the obvious solution for this customer application,” said Tony Safoian, president/CEO of SADA Systems. “We also appreciate the collaborative engagement with Cemaphore Systems.”
Because of the compelling economic benefits, another key customer trend is the adoption of email services in the cloud. Before implementing the final cloud solution, a Boston-based hedge fund firm wanted to evaluate both Google Apps and Exchange Online yet still have the flexibility to roll back to its on-premises Exchange Server mailboxes. Thanks to MailShadow, the pilot went smoothly. Because of its rich messaging capabilities, the customer also chose the Business Productivity Online Suite. “Cemaphore Systems has provided not just a powerful messaging solution but also outstanding technical support,” said Chayan Rattanavijai, IT Specialist. “It’s great to have a vendor I count on for help when I need it.”
“Business users are increasingly seeking more flexible and economical options to traditional IT solutions. Cemaphore Systems is a company that appears to have cracked the code for painless synchronization between different versions of Exchange Server, Exchange Online and Google Apps,” said Michael E. Dortch, principal analyst and managing editor at DortchOnIT.com. “This is significant because MailShadow technology can be used to provide seamless migration for business-critical Exchange deployments, whether on premises or in the cloud.”
Cemaphore will be at Microsoft pavillion, #445, from July 13-16 during the Worldwide Partner Conference in New Orleans.
