“Calories” v 1.4 comes with advanced intelligent search features

Today Calories v. 1.4 has been release – the beloved software for tracking daily nutrition – published by danholt4mac. This update comes with an substancial enhancement. A comfortable search function which enables specified search of dedicated substances and ingrediences.

Overing the mouse above the magnifier glass symbol of the standard search field now indicates this new featute by a red spot in the glass. One click on the magnifier glass symbol now opens an advanced search dialog for entering several specifications. So it is possible to search foods containing any ingredients and to search foods which do NOT contain certain substances; furthermore many ingredients as wanted can be combined or excluded in a complex search. The search results are displayed in order of your first nutrients search criteria. First, already used foods 2nd all the other foods which match the search criteria. A green coloured bar indicates the relative amounts of an ingredient you searched for. Exact numerical values you wil get from the new, enhanced nutrition panel for each food you select from the list. Suitable foods can be directly adopted in the custom food pool. This feature is very useful for nutrition-conscious people and matching any diet effort you may have.
