Dell’s signature initiative to help underserved middle school students gain access to and learn about technology – is gearing up for 10,000 students in the 2006-2007 school year, its largest enrollment ever.
Students from 32 U.S. school districts and two in Canada took part in the Dell TechKnow during the 2005-2006 school year, bringing the total number of children reached by the program to more than 13,000 since 2001.
Dell TechKnow is a 40-hour after-school program providing underserved middle school students with an opportunity to earn a home computer and learn technology skills that promote self-esteem, academic success and help prepare them for today’s technology-driven world.
