IPtimize, Inc. (Pink Sheets: IPZI)(”IPtimize”), a broadband voice and data service provider, announced today that it will deploy a second application server from BroadSoft, Inc., the worldwide leading provider of VoIP applications, enabling it to expand its suite of advanced multimedia IP applications to its commercial and residential cable system customers.
IPtimize has built its multimedia IP services around BroadSoft’s BroadWorks® VoIP application platform. As suburban and rural cable systems seek to offer business services, IPtimize’s scalable and efficient platform continues to attract commercial and residential customers, regardless of market size. The additional capacity allows new IPZI customers that have recently been added through acquisitions to migrate to the newly expanded platform.
“BroadSoft’s technology allows IPtimize to support its cable systems and other business class customers with a service level that is second to none,” said Robert Flood, chief technology officer at IPtimize. “IPtimize provides advanced services at a price that allows smaller providers to actively compete in the IP world.”
IPtimize’s Director of Technology Bill Brownrigg said, “By expanding our relationship with BroadSoft®, IPtimize’s cable system customers can provide the advanced services they’ve wanted to offer for a long time but that have not been practical for them.”
“With IPtimize’s platform, smaller multi-service operators can cost-effectively offer the same type of advanced business and residential services as the large cable operators,” said Leslie Ferry, vice president of marketing at BroadSoft. “Our industry-leading BroadWorks application platform helps to level the playing field for them.”
