Geodesic’s mobile music application, Mundu Radio, now available for FREE download on Nokia OVI Store

Mundu Radio rated as one of the top apps in Nokia’s OVI store

While Nokia users have always been able to access Mundu Radio through the web, they now have the convenience of direct downloads from the Ovi Store.

These stores are an evolving media service that consolidates content services into a one-stop-shop for free and paid content. Thousands of the content industry’s biggest names along with independent application developers are distributing their media, applications and games through these stores.

The application goes beyond FM radio’s small, repetitive set-list of popular songs to provide consumers anywhere, anytime access to thousands of Internet radio stations streaming 24×7, including a wider variety of genres. In addition to the pre-configured list of stations that play music, news, podcasts, etc., users can add their own favorites to the playlist, creating personal mobile radio. Mundu Radio has been deployed with leading carriers and handset manufacturers throughout India, Asia, Europe and the U.S.

The rise of mobile application stores presents a Greenfield opportunity for innovative application providers.
