Significantly Steps Up Effort to Further Penetrate Healthcare Market
PC Mall, Inc., (Nasdaq:MALL), a leading IT solutions provider, announced today that its PC Mall Gov Subsidiary has formed a dedicated healthcare division to provide IT design, implementation and change management services to end users in various healthcare markets, including public trust, private, non-profit, and other hospital systems, medical offices and other healthcare providers.
Commenting on the new initiative, PC Mall’s CEO Frank Khulusi said, “This new division of PC Mall Gov is intended to significantly step up our effort and focus to further penetrate the growing healthcare market. Through this new division, we intend to better address the specific needs of healthcare providers by taking an end-to-end approach to their IT infrastructure. While we have significant experience serving the healthcare market through Sarcom, Abreon, PC Mall Sales and PC Mall Gov, we will be bringing together all this experience and knowledge under one roof, and adding incremental resources, solutions, marketing programs and service capabilities. In addition, we intend to continue to assist our clients in leveraging public funding while ensuring regulatory compliance. We believe that by providing an integrated approach to Health IT infrastructure services, we will enhance our value proposition.”
“Healthcare organizations need more than a partner of supply; they need a partner for innovation,” stated Daniel Schneider, who will lead the newly formed division. “There is currently a lot of attention being paid to healthcare across the US and particularly in Washington. Regardless of how the legislation currently being discussed in Congress impacts the healthcare system, we believe there will be a significant emphasis on healthcare IT spending over the next several years. Our mission is to offer healthcare providers innovative ideas to meet the challenges of today while developing a long term vision for the needs of tomorrow.”
Commenting on the appointment of Mr. Schneider as the leader of the division, Alan Bechara, President of PC Mall Gov, said “Mr. Schneider brings significant technology and business leadership to the group. For over 18 years, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in managing technical, sales, marketing and consulting to various public and private sector institutions. Most recently, he served as the Chief Technology Officer of SARCOM, now a PC MALL subsidiary, and as the Vice President of Marketing Solutions. He intends to apply his experience to better assist our customers in the healthcare industry as they design and build strategic solutions to meet the challenges of delivering quality patient services while managing business and compliance requirements.”
