HP (NYSE: HPQ) today challenged small businesses to replace their non-HP color laser printer with an HP Officejet Pro for a chance to win a $2,100 prize package that includes a one-year supply of inkjet cartridges and paper.(1)

As part of the HP Officejet Pro Challenge: Laser Edition, five small businesses will be selected at random to test-drive an HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-in-One for four weeks. With the HP Officejet Pro, businesses can print professional-quality color documents for up to 50 percent less cost per page and energy use.(2) During this period, the businesses will share their experiences through blog posts on the HP Small and Medium Business Community.

The grand prize winner, determined through readers’ votes based on the businesses’ blog entries, will receive a one-year supply of HP Officejet inkjet cartridges and HP Bright White Paper(1) plus a Logoworks by HP “Gold Package” for professional graphic design services. In addition, the five participants may keep their HP Officejet Pro printers.

The call for entries is open through Aug. 27 to owners of U.S.-based businesses with fewer than 20 employees currently using a non-HP color laser printer purchased for $600 or less.

Entry forms and more details on the terms and conditions of the contest are available at www.hp.com/go/officejetprochallenge. No purchase is necessary to win.
