New platform revolutionizes digital media syndication and provides publishers with foundation for new monetization opportunities
Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s largest podcast distribution network announced today the availability of LibsynPRO 3.0, a new digital media publishing platform set to fundamentally change online media syndication and monetization forever.
LibsynPRO 3.0 is now the foundation by which dozens of new publishing options will be available to content producers. This new platform gives media producers the ability to pick and choose in an a la carte fashion the media syndication packages streamlined for their needs. This new platform also lays the groundwork for the digital media publishing industry’s first ‘click-to-build’ customized iPhone application. Podcasters will be able to turn their shows into interactive iPhone apps, and with standard approvals, sell them in the iTunes App Store providing a new revenue stream to accompany the advertising campaigns they currently manage through their LibsynPRO 3.0 account.
“LibsynPRO 3.0 changes everything that you thought you knew about podcasting – we have fundamentally changed our approach to digital media workflow and distribution”, says Dave Chekan, Wizzard Media Platform Architect and co-founder of Libsyn. “What we have created provides publishers with a framework to build massive online media networks with all the essential pieces for 21st century content distribution. The RSS feed is still there, of course, but now we provide a very simple interface to produce multiple streams of content distribution and methods to generate revenue. This is what our customers have been requesting, this is what the industry has been waiting for.”
The LibsynPRO 3.0 digital media publishing system is based around a completely redesigned publishing engine that is capable of formatting, transcoding and delivering content specially suited for various destinations allowing you to strategically distribute your content to your selected network of publishing destinations with just a few clicks. The options are almost unlimited and the power is yours to create the media release schedule that works for you. The new platform expands the borders for publishing with the ability to push and manage not only podcast content in iTunes and the flash video player on your website, but now to over 20 social video sites like YouTube, MySpace and Daily Motion.
“It seems as if the economy is beginning to recover and we believe that it is time for online digital media to start making money for its publishers as everyone has been predicting it would for years,” said Chris Spencer, Wizzard CEO. “The launch of LibsynPRO 3.0, 18 months in the making, will solidify Wizzard’s role as the premier online digital media distribution and monetization provider of choice by delivering elegant and robust solutions for publishers of all levels. The release of LibsynPRO 3.0 demonstrates Wizzard’s commitment to its previously announced expanded monetization plan, by providing automated tools for its podcasting network to truly support increased revenue opportunities. Combining advertising revenue with the ability to charge for content through some of the top media destinations in the world is critical and Wizzard is leading the way with this new publishing offering. Anyone still clinging to an advertising-only solution is now playing catch-up.”
