Seagate Establishes Collection Point in France
Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX) has established a collection point in France to service its authorized distributors, resellers, partners and end-users under Seagate’s warranty program. This initiative demonstrates Seagate’s determination to offer best-in-class customer support to the market. The French collection point will process return material authorization (RMA) disc drives at one central location, speeding up and simplifying the return and replacement procedures for Seagate and Maxtor-branded disc drives.
“In establishing the French collection point, we are providing Seagate’s customers with yet another advantage in the French market,” said Hans-Dieter Blaser, executive director, Sales and Marketing EMEA, Seagate Technology. “Our authorized distributors, resellers, partners as well as end-users can now process returned drives much more quickly and in a more economical way which benefits both them and their customers. Combined with our five year warranty on all of our internal disc drive products, the establishment of the Paris collection point further demonstrates that Seagate is constantly looking for ways to help its customers develop their businesses. It is always our objective to add value in ways that are important to our partners and customers.”
Previously, returned drives were shipped out of the country by distributors who had to pay for the shipping costs and deal with customs and logistics issues. Now Seagate’s customers save on time, cost and effort. The Collection Point is available for distributors, for partners as well as for end-users.
