· Redington India Limited (Redington), one of India’s largest distributors of IT products, is a recent addition to the Oracle®s PartnerNetwork in India.
· Oracle has appointed Redington as its National Value Added Distributor (VAD) to market, sell and implement Oracle Applications and Technology products through its reseller network, spread across multiple cities throughout India.
· In the first phase, Redington will engage 300 resellers from Jaipur, Bhopal, Indore, Lucknow, Baroda, Surat, Nasik, Kolhapur, Cochin, Ranchi, Dehradun to serve customers in industries like auto ancillaries, chemicals, consumer goods, engineering & construction, non-banking financial services, industrial manufacturing, pharma, media & entertainment, professional services including IT/ITES, real estate, retail, travel & transportation including logistics, gems & jewellery among others.
· As part of the agreement, Redington will market the Oracle® E-Business Suite, the most comprehensive suite of integrated, global business applications, Oracle® Database and Oracle Database Options as well as Oracle® Fusion Middleware, the world’s #1 middleware product suite.
· In addition, Redington’s resellers will gain access to resources and tools within the Oracle’s online resource pool from Oracle PartnerNetwork.
· Oracle works with more than 500 partners in India, including system integrators, value added resellers, independent software vendors and platform providers.

· Through this agreement and to address midsize customer demands for affordable and quick-to-deploy software applications, Redington’s resellers will be able to provide customers with Oracle Database, Oracle Accelerate for Midsize companies and Oracle Fusion Middleware solutions that are affordable, scalable and easy to deploy.
· Solutions running on the Oracle Database platform are also easy to use and administer. The self-managing capabilities of Oracle technology enable companies to minimize personnel expenses, which in turn helps lower the Total Cost of Ownership.
· Oracle Accelerate for midsize companies combines Oracle Applications and Business Accelerators with industry- and geography-specific deployment expertise to solve business problems in highly targeted and rapidly deployable packages. Oracle Business Accelerators are rapid implementation tools, templates and industry- and geography-specific leading practice process flows provided by Oracle to partners to dramatically reduce implementation time, complexity, cost and risk
· Oracle Accelerate solutions, which are pre-packaged bundles developed by partners from the Oracle PartnerNetwork, combine Oracle Applications and partner knowledge of specific industries to deliver rapid, fixed cost implementations.
· In India, some of these partners include New Generation Consultants, Chain-sys India Pvt. Ltd, KPIT Cummins, OSI Consulting, Filix Consulting, Bluestar Infotech, Sonata Software, Ledger Solution, Systime, Metalogic Consulting, Conacent Consulting, Systems Plus and Dakshah Consulting.
