SiS662 to be designed in the ECS 662T-M motherboard
SiS (Silicon Integrated Systems) today announced that the ECS 662T-M motherboard, using SiS662/966L chipsets, is now available in the market and has been highly successful. ECS and SiS have built a close partnership over the years. With the support of SiS662/966L chipsets, the ECS 662T-M motherboard is expected to be the next big trend in the market. “The combination of SiS662/966L chipsets and the ECS 662T-M motherboard demonstrates a great success for both of us,†says Daniel Chen, CEO and President of SiS.
The ECS 662T-M motherboard, embedded with SiS662/966L chipsets, is designed for the Intel FSB 800MHz processor. Also, it supports Pentium® D / Pentium® 4 / Celeron® D processors, and single channel DDR2-667 memory. The SiS662 Northbridge chipset integrates the SiS proprietary MirageTM 1 graphics engine to offer high-definition video playback. The expansion slot of the PCI Express x16 enables gamers to enjoy 3D effects, and provides flexibility to upgrade the computing system when needed.
With the SiS966L Southbridge chipset, the ECS 662T-M motherboard fully supports the PCI Express x1 interface. Also, it has two Serial ATA connectors that enable 150MB/s data transmission, and four USB2.0 ports for additional digital devices. It also supports AC’97 audio devices for better sound effects, 10/100Mbps Ethernet for high-speed internet connection, and RAID level 0 and RAID level 1 for superior stability.
