LSI 3ware SATA and SAS RAID Controller Cards Deliver VMware ESX/ESXi 4.0 Certified Support

New Drivers Enable LSI Channel Customers to take Advantage of Flexibility and Economies offered by Virtualization and Cloud Computing

LSI Corporation (NYSE: LSI) today announced new software drivers for the LSI™ 3ware® 9650SE and 9690SA series RAID controller cards that provide support for VMware® ESX™ and ESX™i 4.0. The new drivers enable customers to combine the advanced data protection and high throughput capabilities of LSI 3ware controllers with the cost effectiveness and flexibility enabled by virtualization and cloud computing environments.

LSI 3ware 9650SE and 9690SA series controllers provide internal and external connectivity for systems using either SATA or SAS hard drives and are available in a variety of port configurations. The controllers are available through the LSI worldwide network of distributors, integrators and VARs.

The VMware Ready Certified designation signifies that the controllers have completed the extensive VMware Hardware Certification Program testing criteria.
