London 11 September 2009 – Fujitsu was among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its recent independent report, “The Forrester Wave: SAP Implementation Providers, Q3 2009, Forrester Research, Inc., August 2009.” In this evaluation, Fujitsu was cited as a Strong Performer in SAP implementation. The report evaluated leading SAP implementation providers based on industry skill, functional and geographic breadth and range of services.
Forrester noted that Fujitsu has “aggressively built its SAP practice through numerous acquisitions as well as organic growth… [and] has continued to focus on integrating services across all geographies and divisions to provide a more seamless, consistent experience for clients.”
Stephen Barcello, UK head of Fujitsu’s SAP practice comments, “Fujitsu’s position as a ‘Strong Performer’ is a reflection of the hard work which has been applied to this area of Fujitsu’s business. Our desire is to develop strong application managed services competency in support of SAP solutions and build upon Fujitsu’s existing heritage for standardisation and industrialisation.”
Fujitsu is an SAP services partner, SAP technology partner and SAP hosting partner. Forrester noted that Fujitsu’s SAP alliance status was a major strength for the organisation, awarding a maximum score (5 out of 5) for this category.
Indeed, Fujitsu has made significant in-roads into the SAP market since it was named a Global SAP Services Partner in 2006. This was aided by the acquisition the same year of TDS, a leading SAP partner focused on small and midsized businesses based in Germany. The continued integration of TDS into Fujitsu’s business has provided proven capabilities in SAP hosting, consulting and application management services.
Barcello concludes, “Fujitsu is rapidly becoming viewed as a highly credible choice for SAP implementation projects and I firmly believe that we will become a ‘Leader’ in this market in the future.”
A ‘full service’ provider, Fujitsu delivers the following in support of SAP solutions: strategy and management consulting, implementation and project management, application management, SAP hosting and full application outsourcing to organisations across a range of industries, including manufacturing, process, pharmaceutical, CPG and logistics. Fujitsu’s European customers of its SAP solutions include: The Post Office, Hillary’s (UK), Faun, STO, Webasto (Germany), Valio, Hartwall (Finland).
