Realmac Software today announced it has acquired popular OS X social networking application EventBox, which allows users to keep up to date with multiple social networks such as Twitter, Flickr, Digg as well as featuring Google Reader syncing for reading RSS feeds. EventBox, which is currently in public beta, will also be renamed Socialite for its official launch which is currently planned for November 2009.

Customers who previously purchased a copy of EventBox from the original developers will receive a full licence to Socialite upon launch.

Socialite is an a native Mac OS X application that brings together all your social networks into one convenient place. From your Google Reader RSS feeds, Twitter updates, Flickr photos and more, Socialite is the best way to manage your social networks. EventBox supports nine services:

- Twitter
- Facebook
- Flickr
- Digg
- Google Reader (including syncing and sharing of items)
- RSS subscriptions
- Reddit
- Identi.ca
- OneRiot

Availability & Pricing
Socialite will be available in November 2009, and upon the final release single user licences will be available for US$20. Users who purchased a copy of EventBox from its original developers before the acquisition will receive a new serial number once the application officially launches.

System Requirements
Socialite will require Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or Mac OS X Snow Leopard and 15MB disk space.
