Kelly Services appoints industry veteran Kamal Karanth as Managing Director for India

October 21, 2009: Kelly Services (NASDAQ: KELYA, KELYB), a world leader in human resources solutions, today announced the appointment of Kamal Karanth as Managing Director for India with immediate effect. Karanth will be responsible for growing and expanding Kelly’s business and investment opportunities across nine locations in India.

Karanth has over 14 years of experience in sales and profit center management in the human resources (HR) and healthcare industries. In addition to having a strong background in setting up new business operations, he has successfully led winning teams to drive business growth in a number of segments, including recruitment, executive search, and other HR services in India and Asia.

Prior to joining Kelly Services, Karanth headed the Asia Pacific team in his previous company, and assumed responsibility for several key senior management roles, including CEO & Director of Malaysia, Global Practice Head – Pharmaceutical & Healthcare and Regional Head of South India.

Karanth has a strong academic foundation and holds a Bachelor in Microbiology from Bangalore University.
