Targus Technologies expands its solution portfolio, diversifies into network integration

New Delhi, September 19, 2006: Targus Technologies, one of the leading system integrator and office automation solution providers today announced that it is diversifying its solution portfolio to offer network integration as a service. Leveraging on its extensive experience in the system integration domain, Targus Technologies has now moved one step up the evolution ladder with this initiative.

Its diverse range of network integration solutions include enterprise level switching and routing, security offerings like firewalls and integrated appliances, structured cabling, VoIP solutions, business wireless etc. The Company is setting up a network integration division at Gurgaon, Haryana and has acquired a 4,500 sq. feet office facility for the same. It has ambitious plans to increase the existing staff strength of the network integration division from 3 to 50 by the end of the financial year.

According to Col. Balwinder Singh, Director, Targus Technologies Pvt. Ltd., “Network integration and related solutions will be the prime focus for us in the years to come for we realize the immense potential that can be tapped. Having fared well in the IT products and system integration business over the years, it is logical for us to diversify into high-end computing solutions business now. This will also help us ramp up the current turnover from Rs 65 crore to Rs 100 crore by the end of current fiscal”

For the network integration initiative, Targus Technologies has lined up IT vendors of repute as its partners. These include CISCO, AMP, APC, AT&T, Avaya, Citrix, Computer Associates, D-Link, HCL, HP, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Mod-Tap, Molex, Motorola, Nortel Networks, Novell, Oracle, Red Hat Linux, SCO, Sify, Sun Microsystems, Systimax, Trend Micro, and Veritas.

Currently, besides selling IT products (PCs, laptops, high & low-end servers, all kind of peripherals), office automation products (like interactive electronic whiteboards) and extending system integration services, the Company offers Facility Management Services (including asset and server management) as well for large and medium IT deployments. Targus specializes in deploying large networks using Novell, UNIX and Windows NT/2000 platforms. It specializes in providing leased line connectivity, ISDN connectivity, point-to-point wireless connectivity, LAN/WAN/MAN solutions (including 802.11 and 802.16 standards).

In the storage space, Targus is well experienced when it comes to deploying DAS, SAN, NAS solutions and backup solutions like tape libraries and autoloaders. It provides storage that supports data availability 24×7 through reliable, disaster-tolerant systems. Targus has been appointed by Sify as its Gold Partner for it sells their bandwidth and VPN connectivity solutions. It also sells extended warranty service packs of different vendors. In the recent past, Targus Technologies has also implemented some popular projects like installing servers across the country for Bharti’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ networking project.
