Alea Casino in Leeds hosts Zappers on November 12th, sponsored by TCL Crowdsourcing
LONDON, November 5th, 2009 – TCL Crowdsourcing, sponsors of Zappers, today announces the next UK Zappers event will be held in Leeds on November 12th, 2009. Four teams of ‘crowdsourced’ software testers will gather to compete to find the most bugs in one of world’s leading desktop, mobile, gaming or web applications.
The competition will be held at the Alea Casino, Leeds, from 6pm to 9:30 pm. Zappers events are open to all software testers – from professionals to students – and brings teams of testers together to put software through its final paces.
Stewart Noakes, Chairman and co-founder at TCL Crowdsourcing explains, “Zappers provides a great forum for testers to share their knowledge, improve their skill set and discuss issues affecting the testing community. The events are open to everyone who has an interest in software testing, regardless of whether they do it for a job or not. It’s a great opportunity for testers to network and exchange tips.”
TCL Crowdsourcing is the exclusive UK partner for uTest, the world’s largest marketplace for testing web sites as well as desktop, mobile and gaming software applications. It enables real-world, massive software testing coverage for companies using a bespoke quality assurance team pooled from 18,000 testers in the worldwide uTest community. Testers are paid per bug found and put the software through its paces across many different environments (OS, web browser, firewall, mobile handset, etc.) and demographics (age, sex, geographic location, etc.).
“While this means we can complete a test cycle in 48 hours or less, our pool of software testers never usually meet each other. The Zappers events, held globally, help to create a community of testers so that our proposition of low-cost, high quality and timely testing services can continue to gather such dynamic momentum,” concludes Noakes.
Zappers events take place across three continents and are free to attend with complimentary food and drink available. To sign up for the event on December 3rd, visit http://www.zappers-community.com/
