Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group Demonstrates Wide Variety of Photo-Rich Print Applications at Photokina 2006
Kodak will be using its new NEXPRESS 2500 digital production color press on Stand A002, Hall 5, to show visitors to Photokina 2006 (Cologne, 26/9 –1/10) a range of new photo-rich print applications for professional photographers, advanced amateur photographers and consumers. In addition, the KODAK 1200i Wide-Format Printing System and the extensive portfolio of KODAK Wide-Format Inkjet Media will further define the scope available to the photo industry from KODAK products.
Photo books to capture family milestones, greeting cards with personal photographs, and personalized calendars and planners are a few of the popular items that can be created via the Internet and printed quickly and cost efficiently with KODAK NEXPRESS presses. Kodak provides guidance on how to implement business processes and which markets or applications to pursue for photographic firms or commercial printing establishments to whom digital printing is a new experience.
“In addition to traditional litho printing companies, providers of photo services now have the opportunity to tap into a growth market because of the quality, speed and flexibility that the KODAK NEXPRESS presses provide,†said Will Mansfield, European Marketing Director, Digital Printing Solutions, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “Digital printing is opening up many new avenues that coincide with how consumers view and want to share photographs of family, friends, special trips and memorable events.â€
The NEXPRESS 2500 press is the performance model from the KODAK NEXPRESS press family, for high-volume print production environments of up to 1,900,000 pages per month. It is capable of printing 2500 A4 5/5 sheets per hour and is 18% more productive than the 2100 plus. Modularity and flexibility has been engineered into the 2500, offering in-line finishing capability and longer uninterrupted printing cycles with multiple high-capacity delivery configurations. The modular options include an additional imaging unit, feeders, high-capacity delivery system and KODAK NEXSTATION IV front end, all of which will also be on stand at the show.
