In addition, the solution includes Symantec Premium AntiSpam, powered by industry-leading technology and response, to provide best-of-breed spam prevention without requiring additional administration or software installation.

“CBI believes Symantec Mail Security is our best solution for controlling spam and virus-infected emails,” said Daniel Gregory, Vice President of Business Development, Creative Breakthroughs, Inc. “With Symantec’s new product offering, we can now offer our SMB clients a high value, cost effective solution for their Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 servers.”

“Most small businesses have server-based networks and are interested in an easy-to-use, cost effective solution that not only manages the growing influx of spam but also protects against today’s sophisticated e-mail threats,” said Francis deSouza, vice president of Enterprise Messaging Management, Symantec. “Symantec Mail Security with Premium AntiSpam for Windows Small Business Server addresses the specific needs of small businesses, offering the market’s best solution to help protect confidential information, reduce downtime, and control costs associated with spam and virus outbreaks.”

According to the “E-mail Security Market 2006-2010” report from market research firm Radicati, small and medium businesses comprise the largest portion of the messaging security market, with small businesses making up 22 percent of the worldwide installed base. Additionally, adoption of messaging security by small businesses is expected to grow to 26 percent of the total worldwide install base by 2010. This rapid growth can be attributed to several factors, including greater awareness of threats and complex attacks, and increased adoption of a multi-layered protection strategy.
