In Northern California, AAA Transforms With IBM to Drive Future Growth
The California State Automobile Association (CSAA) and IBM have completed the first phase of a transformation project that will arm the 100-year-old motor club with a new Internet-powered technology foundation. MemberPointTM will enable CSAA, the second largest affiliate in the national AAA federation, to offer its four million members better service, more tailored membership features and faster access to insurance products and other offerings.
MemberPoint is a cutting-edge membership, billing and document management system. The project’s completion marks the end of the first phase of a major transformation to update and re-engineer CSAA’s core systems and business processes.
“MemberPoint is a big step for CSAA,” said Bob Wilkes, CSAA’s Business Transformation Officer. “It is not just a new membership or insurance system; it’s a new technology foundation for future growth. We are now in a position to expand our membership, compete more effectively with national insurance providers and branch into new areas of business.”
